Adan Ltd is a privately owned company and was formed in 1968 by the Percival family, to serve a rapidly expanding hydraulics market. It was based in Staines, Middlesex but relocated to Boston, Lincolnshire in 1983 and has been at the Riverside Industrial Estate ever since.In 2003 there was a management buyout by Doug Kenworthy, David Pickbourn and Steve Plaskitt who had a wealth of experience in the engineering trade between them. The company continued to go from strength to strength and in 2007, when David retired, Steve and Doug became equal partners.

On the back of an increasing, diverse customer base, the company has continued to grow steadily and Adan products can be found in all types of industry marine, mining, railway, vehicle recovery, road maintenance, recycling, food processing, agriculture and haulage to name but a few.
 

Beacause our products are involved in such a wide range of applications, we can deal with anything from
'O' Rings to oil slicks in the course of a day. As was demonstrated during the Gulf of Mexico oil spill,
when we were called on to supply our AWMP Hydraulic Motors to drive the oil skimmmers that were used in the huge clean up operation.
 

Adan has progressed through some difficult times recently with the recession and competition from
imported products, but we continue to trade all over the UK as well as within Europe and the rest of the
world with a busy order book.
